Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatments
China Doll Skin Rejuvenation
The China Doll is a unique laser skin rejuvenation treatment which is inspired by its Asian background that targets acne, black heads, open pores, oiliness, mottled complexions and collagen production to reduce wrinkles, brighten and tighten the skin. This treatment works by applying medical grade carbon to the skin, then treating with the nano-second lightning fast Q switched Nd Yag Laser to stimulate and clean the pores, whilst promoting the growth of collagen.
How can the China Doll Laser Rejuvenation help me?
The China Doll Laser Facial is suitable for men and women of all ages and assists people with pigmentation, acne, wrinkles, dull or poor skin tone, large pores and helps to lessen the premature signs of ageing.
How does the China Doll Laser Treatment Feel?
The China Doll Treatment has been described at feeling warm or prickly, but not painful, and assists in leaving the skin looking clear and glowing. A minor ‘sonic’ boom is heard as the carbon particles are targeted by the laser and the light energy is absorbed by the carbon particles.
Is there any downtime after China Doll Laser Skin Rejuvenation?
No it is non-invasive and you can return to normal activities straight after your treatment. You will need to ensure that you use SPF 30+ sunblock for any outdoor activities.
What can I expect on the day of China Doll Laser Skin Rejuvenation?
We begin with mixing the Chi Bio Enzyme Peel which is full of pawpaw and pineapple enzymes, with Rose Petal Spritz to refine the skin. The action of the enzymes gently slough away dead skin cells to prepare the skin for the China Doll Laser. Then a Black Charcoal Wash is applied to absorb excess oil and dislodge clogged pores. The China Doll treatment is performed which brightens the skin, tightens the pores and promotes collagen production. This incredible treatment is finished with the Edelweiss Collagen Mask applied to calm, soothe and hydrate the skin.
How many treatments will I require?
As each patient is different it is not possible to completely predict how many treatments you will need, but on average you may need four to six treatments to achieve ideal results anywhere from one week to one month apart. After your initial consultation our therapists will advise you of the recommended number of treatments required.
Are there any side effects?
The skin will be visibly tighter, hydrated and radiant – just like a China Doll. A ‘warmth’ in the skin may occur for a few days post treatment. This is a positive outcome as the skin has been rejuvenated in the deeper layers of the skin as well as the tightening effect on the surface. Results can be improved by minimal sun exposure, not smoking and keeping stress to a minimum. The longevity of the effects from the treatment is determined by the skin condition, skin type and your lifestyle.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation
I.P.L has the ability to emit high-energy pulses in both Red & Yellow light. Yellow light targets the stagnant blood caught in the capillaries which cause unsightly ‘spider’ veins on the face. It cauterizes the blood then the body naturally heals the site over a few weeks. The Red light is attracted to colour so it draws pigmentation, caused by sun damage, to the surface which then quickly exfoliates away. Because IPL uses a much broader spectrum of light than laser, it is suitable for a wider range skin types. Furthermore, IPL treats a much larger area of skin per light pulse than laser, which can be faster & more cost effective.
Anything to be are aware of?
Some people are more sensitive to light than others, so be completely honest when filling out the consultation form. A patch test is required regardless, even if you have had treatments elsewhere, and especially if you have had any recent solarium treatments or sun exposure. Prior to your treatments our trained technicians will discuss in detail how I.P.L works and will assess if it is suitable for you. In some cases you may even see an immediate effect for skin rejuvenation.
Are there any side effects?
With the majority of treatments there are little to no side effects, so you can resume your normal routine immediately. After the treatments a slight redness and/or odema may occur, and we see this as a good result. If pigmentation is being treated then the lesion will darken in colour within a couple of hours. Next a Lymph Drainage treatment is scheduled within a period of 4-7 days after the initial treatment to improve circulation and speed up the process. The darkened areas will take up to 5-10 days to heal and for the area to naturally exfoliate away.
How many sessions are needed?
This is again dependant upon the treatment and individual. However, as a guide, red vein treatments are usually 3 to 4 weeks apart with a 6 week break after the 4th treatment. Pigmentation treatments only need 2 to 3 sessions. If the pigment is due to hormonal reasons it usually does not respond to light therapy but other treatments, such as skin peels which can greatly improve the intensity.
What is involved?
It’s simple, you wear protective eyewear, lie back and relax while the operator moves the hand piece slowly over the area firing the light exactly where required. The treatment takes less than 30mins for skin rejuvenation. Most people will experience minimal discomfort, feeling no more than a warm flick on the skin, however, cooling can be applied to minimize this sensation. I.P.L can be used to treat most skin types and any area of the body (except under the eyebrow).
